San Diego
baa atelier finishes walls by hand in San Diego, from a single Roman clay feature wall to courtyards and whole interiors close to the coast.
Made for the coast
Near the coast, salt air and the morning marine layer keep walls damp for longer than they would be inland. Lime-based finishes are breathable: they let that moisture move through the wall instead of trapping it under a sealed film, which is why the studio uses limewash on older or breathable walls where a film would be the wrong thing.
Outside, in courtyards and on garden walls, the grain of tonachino is the most robust wall in the range, and stone effect gives a courtyard the weight of cut stone.

Questions from San Diego
A breathable lime finish. Limewash lets moisture move through the wall instead of trapping it, which matters with salt air and the marine layer. Tonachino is the most robust choice for exterior walls and courtyards.
